TAP is our Transitional Accommodation Program. It offers housing to young people aged 16 to 21, and unlike TINOCA there is not a youth worker onsite.
Young people in the TAP program are given the freedom to live independently and are able to stay at their property for up to 12 months. During this time each young person receives external support from a Youth Worker to address their needs and to plan for their future; whether that be enrolling in education, gaining employment, setting saving goals or securing future accommodation.
Youth Futures maintains a number of TAP properties in the Perth metropolitan area, some of which can accommodate up to three young people at a time. To make a referral, call 9300 2677 (Mon-Fri, 9 am – 4 pm). Any referrals from a third party must be made with consent from the young person.
