Adrian was 16 and struggling at his old school, lost among too many students and ignored when he raised his hand for help. Attendance slipped as he questioned whether he belonged. Everything changed when he found Anchor Point.
In small classes with no rush, Adrian comes four days a week and takes his time with his work. Teachers and youth workers are constantly present, offering support and guidance that makes him feel truly seen. Unlike his previous experience, Adrian has discovered a real community at Anchor Point where everyone knows each other’s name and genuinely gets along. His initial shyness quickly faded as he realized he could simply be himself.
Now working on his Cert I in General Education, Adrian has received support from his youth worker in building his first resume. While his mum dreams of him becoming an air force pilot, Adrian has found his own passion in becoming a soldier. With Anchor Point’s encouragement, he now has the confidence to pursue that dream.
