Victoria’s life felt like it was falling apart a couple of years ago.

Mental health struggles forced her to drop out of high school, and she spent an entire year not attending any school, feeling stuck with no options in sight. When her mum learned about Youth Futures Community School, she encouraged Victoria to give it a try.
Starting was terrifying. Crippled by anxiety, Victoria could only manage one hour per week at first. But the staff’s kindness and supportive approach made her feel safe. They helped her ease into the rhythm of school, supported her with assignments, and calmed her anxious mind. That single hour of attendance felt like a major victory, and gradually, her confidence began to grow.
Over the course of a year, Victoria transformed from barely attending to engaging in full-time education. She’s now confident in class and loves being part of a warm, welcoming community where everyone feels valued. Youth Futures Community School gave her a fresh start and the opportunity to shine. Victoria is profoundly grateful for the program, recognizing it as more than just a place to learn—it’s a lifeline toward a brighter future.
