Education & Training

At Youth Futures, we believe every young person deserves access to an education that works for them. Our programs are flexible, supportive, and built around the individual — combining learning with wellbeing, life skills, and real pathways forward.

Welcome to Youth Futures Community School.

Youth Futures Community School offers a flexible and supportive education option for young people who haven’t found the right fit in traditional school settings.

With campuses in Albany, Clarkson, and Midland — including a dedicated Junior campus in Midland for younger students — we support young people at different stages of their education to re-engage with learning in a way that works for them.

Our schools are designed for students who are ready for a classroom environment, but need smaller class sizes, individualised support, and a more flexible approach. Learning is tailored to each young person, combining education with personal development, wellbeing, and practical life skills.

For those who need a different level of flexibility or support, we also offer alternative pathways through our Anchor Points in Bayswater, Joondalup, and Mirrabooka, and our Comet Connect program — ensuring every young person can access an option that meets them where they are.

Through a strong focus on relationships and wrap-around support, our team works alongside each student to help them build confidence, develop independence, and work toward meaningful pathways beyond school.

How our education programs work

  • Nationally Accredited

Students complete a nationally accredited course that meets recognised industry standards and ensures consistent, high-quality training.
  • Holistic Approach

It’s not all about book work. Students have access to youth workers, a literacy coach and a psychologist.
  • Life Skills

Our students leave with skills that will help them succeed in life, including budgeting, cooking, job-seeking and interview skills.
  • Individualised Study Plan

Students can enrol any time of the year and will have an individualised study plan.
  • Tailored Learning

We know that young people learn in different ways. That’s why we make our lessons engaging and hands on
  • High Ratio

To make sure each student gets the support they need, we provide small classes.

Principal’s Welcome

At Youth Futures, we believe education should fit the young person, not the other way around. Our schools provide a supportive, inclusive alternative for students who haven’t found the right fit in traditional school settings, creating a space where they can re-engage with learning in a way that works for them.

Supporting Every Young Person

We support young people across Years 8 to 12, offering flexible, personalised learning pathways that combine education with wellbeing, life skills, and future planning. Whether students are building foundational skills or working toward nationally recognised qualifications, our focus is always on helping them move forward with confidence.

What sets our schools apart is the strength of our relationships. Our staff work closely with students, families, and support networks to create an environment built on trust, respect, and consistency. With small class sizes and a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, youth workers, and wellbeing professionals; students receive the individualised support they need to succeed.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our approach is grounded in trauma-informed practice, stemming from the Berry Street Education Model, which helps us create safe, predictable learning environments where students feel secure, understood, and ready to learn.

Learning at Youth Futures goes beyond the classroom. Through hands-on experiences, vocational pathways, and real-world opportunities, students develop not only academic skills, but the confidence, resilience, and independence needed for life beyond school.

We are proud to see our students transition into further education, training, and employment, each step forward a reflection of their hard work and growth.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our schools and pathways, or to get in touch with our team to discuss how we can support your young person.
We look forward to welcoming you into our community.

Turning Struggles into Strength

Each year we support over 3,000 young people who have found themselves in a difficult situation. It can be easy to forget that behind every statistic is a real person; A person with their own story, their own reason for seeking our help, and their own hopes for the future.
