About our Schools

At Youth Futures, we believe education should adapt to the young person — not the other way around. Our Education & Pathways programs are designed for young people who need something different: more flexibility, more support, and a learning environment where they feel safe, seen, and capable.

About our Schools Image

Education that meets young people where they are — and helps them move forward.

Across our Community Schools, Anchor Points, and outreach programs, we combine education with wellbeing, life skills, and real-world pathways. Because success isn’t just about qualifications — it’s about confidence, connection, and creating a future that feels possible.

All of our alternative education options are registered with the Department of Education; Youth Futures Community School as a Curriculum and Re-Engagement in Education (CaRE) School and Anchor Point as a Community Based Course. We also run workshops for young people, parents and professionals throughout the year.

Referral Process

Getting started is simple.

We work closely with young people, families, and support services to find the right program and pathway. Our team takes the time to understand each individual’s needs, goals, and circumstances to ensure the best fit.

Whether a young person is ready for a classroom, needs a flexible learning space, or would benefit from outreach support, we’re here to help them take the next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Get in touch with our team.
  • Youth Futures Community School is built around the young person, not the other way around. Smaller class sizes, flexible learning, and a dedicated wellbeing team mean every student gets the support they need to engage, grow, and succeed — in an environment that genuinely meets them where they are.

  • Our schools are for young people in Years 7–12 who haven’t found the right fit in a traditional school setting. Whether someone has experienced disrupted schooling, needs more flexibility, or simply learns better in a smaller, more supported environment — there’s a place for them here.

  • School runs from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Days are structured but flexible — with class time, breaks, and afternoon activities that go beyond textbooks, including sport, art, cooking, excursions, and guest speakers. No two days are exactly the same.

  • No uniform — just clothes that are comfortable, safe, and respectful. We want young people to feel like themselves when they walk through the door.

  • Absolutely. Senior students work toward Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA) and other nationally recognised qualifications through Futures Education and Training. Certificates II and III can also open pathways into most TAFE courses.

  • Getting started is as simple as reaching out. Fill in our intake form and a member of our team will be in touch to guide you through the next steps.
