Volunteer
Behind every charity is an amazing community of people lending their support to make a difference. Youth Futures is no exception. We are extremely grateful for each and every one of our volunteers who generously donate their time, skills, and energy to support young people in need.
Corporate Volunteers
Volunteering is a unique team building experience and a great way to give back to your community. We have a limited number of volunteering opportunities available for corporate groups each year. Contact Us to find out if we have any opportunities for you and your team.
Event Volunteers
Each year an amazing team of volunteers help out on our charity bike ride, the Pipeline Challenge. Over five unforgettable days our support crew and riders make their way from Kalgoorlie to Perth to raise funds for youth homelessness. Check out the Pipeline Challenge website for more info.
Student Placements
Due to the complexities of the young people we work with we are not able to offer high school students work experience, however, we accept a number of TAFE and university students on prac placements each year.
It is preferred that prac placements are organised through your Placement Coordinator. We have a formal agreement in place with two tertiary institutions and will give preference to students from these courses. Of course, you are still welcome to submit an expression of interest via our Contact Us form. Please remember to include your full name, age, qualification you are working towards, experience and availability.
General Vacancies
Volunteer opportunities are promoted via Facebook and Seek Volunteer. However, if you have a set of skills that you think may benefit our organisation and the young people we support, get in touch with our Business Development team to discuss the possibility of volunteering.
Requirements
As a charity dedicated to helping young people thrive we take our duty of care very seriously. As such volunteers will be asked to provide a current National Police Check and Working With Children Check.
"Volunteering for me? I do it to pay back for all the good fortune I have in my life. To pay forward and create opportunities for others. To show our young people that it’s not all about money. It’s rewarding, fun and I get to be around amazing people. They are worth it!"
